STARSPANGLEDBANNER was trained by Leon Corstens in Australia, and landed G1 Caulfield Guineas and Oakleigh Plate with Daniel Nikolic on board. He was purchased by Coolmore and under Aidan O'Brien’s handling afterwards. After settled in Ireland, STARSPANGLEDBANNER claimed Golden Jubilee Stakes and July Cup with Johnny Murtagh in the saddle and made him became a champion sprinter in both European and Australia. He joined the Coolmore’s stallion roster after retirement but he was sent to second tier stud farm due to his low pregnancy rate. However, his next generations brought some surprise to Coolmore with victories among Royal Ascot races and STARSPANGLEDBANNER made his return. As of now, 60 runners won the black type contests including four-time G1 winner STATE OF REST. CALIFORNIA SPANGLE and BEAUTY ETERNAL are his representatives in HK. His service fee is EUR€ 60,000 in 2026. SHARP PLANET was sold at 50,000 gns in 2024 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale (Book 2). Same sire runners in HK ran on well in sprint events. His dam ONYAIL is an unraced while two of her foals won on all-weather surface and another was place-getter on all-weather track. If the bay gelding matches with his full-sister PSYCHODRAMA, he should be better suited for dirt from 1200M to 1600M.
