Slow into stride from gate 4, ridden along early to be handy on the fence, briefly held up in the home straight, once clear picked up well to score by a narrow margin.
Jumped only fairly, raced 3 wide behind midfield, hard ridden after passing 550M, very wide turning in, made no impression in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)
Average to begin, raced 3 wide in midfield, no cover for the majority of the race, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line.
Taken back from gate 13, raced towards rear on the outside, there to turn, made good progress in straight to make frame, nearest on line.

J. Atkins Stakes. He took part in G1 Golden Rose Stakes at age 3 where he was beaten by THE AUTUMN SUN under James McDonald and denied by same sire runner SUNLIGHT in Ascot Vale Stakes (Coolmore Stud Stakes). The son of ZOUSTAR joined the stallion roaster of Widden Stud after retiring from racing with 3 black type contest winners. His fee in 2025 is AUD$ 27,500.PAPAYA BROSE was trained by Robert & Luke Price in Australia and took part in 2 barrier trials that both held at Kembla Grange where he sat handy early and ran on well under a hold to win an 800M trial (8th Aug 2025) on soft going, then ran on without cover throughout to win an 800M section (1st Sept 2025) on good going.
