Crowded shortly after start, raced 2 wide in midfield, 4 lengths or so back turning in, weakened early in straight.
Out with rest, positioned 4-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, commenced move near 500M, showed very good response in straight, took the lead approaching 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.
Away with them, raced 3 wide with no cover, a length or so back, there to turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.
Jumped well from the widest draw, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 100M, stayed on evenly to take a place.
Taken back to race 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 350M, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

RUSSIAN CAMELOT was trained by Danny O'Brien with 4 wins, 4 seconds and 1 third in 11 starts, winning distance from 1400M to 2500M. The Irish import landed 2500M South Australian Derby under John Allen while he is the only Northern Hemisphere bred to win Derby in Australia. After a short break, he ran on 2nd in Makybe Diva Stakes and ran down HUMIDOR in Underwood Stakes with Damien Oliver on board. He also finished 3th in Cox Plate, 8th in Melbourne Cup and 2nd in All-Star Mile afterwards. The son of CAMELOT stands at Widden Stud since 2021 and searching for his first black type contest winner. His fee in 2025 is AUD$ 16,500. TOPSPIN KING was purchased by Upper Bloodstock at AUD$ 120,000 as a yearling and trained by Ben & Ryan Foote in New Zealand. He took part in an 850M trial (8th Jul 2025) where he led all the way to win with 8Ls on heavy ground. 3-time G1 winner MISHRIFF is his dam family members. The bay gelding is the first RUSSIAN CAMELOT’s runner in HK while he showed great gate speed in both overseas and local trials, he should be fine to handle farther in future and no issue on soft going.
