Moderately away from gate 1, raced better than midfield on the inside, 1-1/2L back turning in, showed good response in straight, took the lead 150M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Slowly away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, moved a bit closer on turn, hard ridden approaching 300M, closed off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Jumped only fairly. In the Home Straight lay in and near the 250 Metres shifted in, resulting in its rider M F Poon having to straighten his mount. After the event M F Poon reported that he had some concerns with his mount’s action. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in the left front leg due to sustaining a fetlock injury to that leg. Before being allowed to race again, FLYING ROMANTIC will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Made contact at start, taken back to race 2 wide behind midfield, there to turn, finished off evenly.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when racing tight to the inside of SMART BEAUTY (A Badel) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. A Badel was advised to exercise more care. LUCKY GENERATIONS then raced keenly for some distance thereafter. Near the 100 Metres was shifted to the outside of CIRCUIT FIERY to continue into clear running.

Average to begin, raced 2 wide better than midfield, there to turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong.

After the event A Atzeni reported that his mount raced three wide, however was able to obtain cover and he could offer no reason as to why POCHETTINO failed to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Shortly after the start was crowded between BRAVE OF FRIENDS and FUNG which shifted in slightly. After the event H Bentley reported that from a wide barrier his mount settled back in the field. He said GLUCK RACER raced keenly in the event and did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Shifted in at start and bumped, sent forward to take the lead, challenged by rival 500M, headed early in straight, weakened final 300M.
