Began well from a wide draw, raced 3 wide with cover in midfield, no cover on turn, showed limited response early in straight, one-paced thereafter.

For some distance after the 800 Metres raced keenly and was steadied away from PATCH OF WATCH. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide in midfield, 3 wide turning in, showed limited response early in straight, weakened inside final furlong, eased close home.

Shifted out at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced. In the middle stages raced keenly when positioned outside the lead. Sent for sampling post-race.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide, 6 lengths or so back, 3 wide after entering the back straight, same margin back on turn, taken wide in straight and made good progress to make frame.

Bumped on jumping and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between GLORIOUS EXPERT and WIND SPEEDER which shifted in. Approaching the 950 Metres improved quickly behind FALCON COURT. When being shifted to the inside of FALCON COURT to improve, MODEST GENTLEMAN was steadied when FALCON COURT shifted to the inside of YEAH BUDDY. M Chadwick, rider of MODEST GENTLEMAN, was advised to exercise more care to ensure that there is comfortable racing room where he is improving into. Approaching the winning post shifted out, resulting in its rider M Chadwick having to stop riding and straighten his mount.

Bumped start, trapped wide in midfield, peaked on turn, weakened 500M, eased early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped only fairly. Approaching the winning post was hampered when taken wider by MODEST GENTLEMAN.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at tail, 9 lengths or so back turning in, made very good progress in straight to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

Jumped only fairly. Leaving the 800 Metres, when racing keenly, improved into a tight run between THE PRIME and FLYING PHANTOM. A short distance later THE KHAN was steadied when crowded by FLYING PHANTOM which raced tight to the inside of WIND SPEEDER. Briefly held up on the Home Turn.

Average to begin, sent forward to take the lead, travelled comfortably in the middle stages, led by 2 lengths turning in, kicked clear early in straight, ran on strongly to the line and scored.

Commenced well, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, 3 wide after entering the back straight, hard ridden from 500M, very wide turning in, made some progress early in straight, no extra final 150M. (Blood in trachea.)

Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between MODEST GENTLEMAN and PATCH OF WATCH which shifted out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Moderately away, raced 3 wide better than midfield, moved closer after passing 1200M, raced in 2nd from 1050M, 2 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event, H Bentley reported that his mount travelled only fairly during the race and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly, positioned 4 lengths behind the leader on the inside, 2 wide after passing 450M, not enough room early in straight, made good progress thereafter to take a place.
