Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its barrier, raced prominently on the inside, shared lead on turn, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the winner late.

After being crossed by ANOTHER ZONDA near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid that runner for some distance thereafter. Near the 350 Metres endeavoured to obtain a narrow run between AWESOME TREASURE and CALL ME GORGEOUS. When AWESOME TREASURE shifted out slightly, GOKO WIN then had difficulty obtaining clear running until near the 250 Metres.

Average to begin, raced in midfield on the outside, 3 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, peaked early in straight, kept on same pace to the line.

Jumped only fairly. In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid LUCKY EIGHT. Raced ungenerously in the Home Straight. Approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving between AWESOME TREASURE and ANOTHER ZONDA.

Jumped well, raced in midfield, 3 to 4 wide, dropped towards rear 450M, failed to make any progress in straight.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and was steadied away from LUCKY EIGHT. After being shifted behind MATTERS MOST near the 1100 Metres then raced keenly near the 1000 Metres and was steadied when positioned close to MATTERS MOST. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running behind CALL ME GORGEOUS. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GREAT STATE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Jumped well from a wide draw, took the lead, shared lead with rivals on turn, peaked and headed early in straight, weakened final 300M.

Began well, raced slightly better than midfield, 3 wide, similar position on turn, one-paced in the run home.

Shifted in at the start and was bumped on the hindquarters. Over the concluding stages shifted in and was steadied away from GOKO WIN when that runner shifted out slightly. After the event, M Chadwick reported that his mount, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong, would derive benefit from today’s race experience. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced slightly behind midfield, 4 lengths back on turn, made some progress in straight.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Crowded shortly after start, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some headway in straight. (Lame right front leg next day.)

Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between AWESOME TREASURE and CALL ME GORGEOUS which shifted in and away from SUGAR BALL despite the efforts of its rider.

Taken back to race towards rear on the outside, 4 to 5 lengths back on turn, very wide into straight, finished off very strongly to score by a neck.

Near the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded between SUGAR BALL and GREAT STATE (M L Yeung) which, when being steadied away from CALL ME GORGEOUS, shifted out. M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care.
