Bumped start, took the early lead, headed 1150M, positioned 1 out 1 back in the middle stages, angled out 500M, retook the lead 300M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Moderately away from the widest draw, raced in midfield on the outside, moved a bit closer after passing 750M, 2 lengths or so back turning in, finished off well to take 2nd, always just held.

Taken back from gate 13, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, a bit closer on turn, closed off well to take a place without threatening the first two.

Bumped shortly after start, tracked leaders on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared after passing 150M, ran on evenly to the line.

Approaching the 350 Metres was disappointed for clear running to the inside of SPECIAL HEDGE and was then shifted to that runner’s outside to secure clear running near the 250 Metres.

From the 700 Metres until the 400 Metres was held up and unable to improve when positioned behind ON THE LASH. After the 400 Metres had difficulty securing clear running when obtaining a narrow run between SMASHING EXPRESS and CHARMANDER and as a result did not secure clear running until near the 300 Metres.

Began only fairly, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run until final 100M, kept on same pace to the line.

Jumped only fairly. From the 400 Metres until the 250 Metres was held up for clear running behind LAPRAS. After obtaining a clear run to the inside of LAPRAS near the 200 Metres again became held up for clear running between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out 600M, 4-1/2L back turning in, kept on same pace in straight.

Near the 400 Metres was bumped by CHILLI BABA which shifted out.

Slowly away, raced at rear on the outside, very wide into straight, made some progress early in straight, no extra final 150M.

Slow to begin. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped awkwardly and bumped, raced 2 wide in midfield, similar position on turn, no clear run early in straight, steadied near 250M, made no impression thereafter.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and was bumped. Near the 300 Metres became held up for clear running between SMASHING EXPRESS and WINNING SEVEN which shifted out. In this incident, ON THE LASH lay in towards the heels of WINNING SEVEN and was steadied near the 250 Metres.

Began fairly and made contact, raced prominently but 3 wide early, 2 wide from 900M, challenged the leader turning in, took the lead early in straight, peaked and headed 300M, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event, Z Purton could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shifted in on jumping before being corrected by its rider. Near the 400 Metres lay in and made contact with the running rail. After the event, M L Yeung stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said when caught wide in the early stages he allowed his mount to stride forward and lead to avoid covering additional ground.

Crowded shortly after start, raced at rear, 8 lengths back in the middle stages, commenced move 550M, very wide into straight, made no progress in the run home.

Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between CHARMANDER which shifted out slightly and ON THE LASH which shifted in. Over the final 100 Metres raced tight between CHARMANDER and INVINCIBLE MISSILE which shifted in slightly and as a result could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run in straight, not able to test properly.

Between the 250 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running behind SPECIAL HEDGE. After being shifted to the outside of SPECIAL HEDGE near the 100 Metres then raced tight between SPECIAL HEDGE and KASA PAPA and could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
