Near the 500 Metres shifted out and made contact with FLYING ROMANTIC. After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount raced keenly in the early and middle stages. He said for some distance near the 300 Metres THE KHAN had difficulty obtaining clear running between SUNNY SHINES and FLYING ROMANTIC but after this finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Slowly away, raced at tail, 6 lengths back turning in, showed no response early in straight, eased final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Slow to begin. After the event, A Atzeni could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of CHILLI BABA was considered disappointing as compared to its last start. Before being allowed to race again, CHILLI BABA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Fast into stride, sent forward to take the lead, led by 3/4L, challenged by rival turning in, peaked and headed 400M, weakened 300M, eased final furlong. (Blood in trachea.)

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, OMAKASE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
