On a number of occasions after the 400 Metres was bumped by WONDER KIT which shifted in and away from TOMODACHI KOKOROE. After the event, H Bowman stated that his mount jumped awkwardly and travelled satisfactorily in the early stages when positioned behind WUNDERBAR. He said when WUNDERBAR shifted towards the outside rail, WHIZZ KID was left racing without cover, did not travel well thereafter and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
