Bumped shortly after start, raced 3 wide with cover, 2 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to SPEED SWORD was refitted. Jumped only fairly.

Shifted out abruptly on jumping, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L, travelled comfortably to turn, kept on well to the line and scored.

When questioned, H Bentley stated that his mount began only fairly and then he was able to improve in the early stages to the inside of VALHALLA and obtain the lead on the first turn. He said LUCKY PLANET was able to control the lead at standard time, but in the Home Straight responded only fairly to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Began only fairly, raced at tail, 6-1/2L back, saved ground on turn, failed to close off in straight.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced 2 wide at rear, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, taken wide in straight and finished off strongly to be nearest on line.

On the first turn after the 1000 Metres was crowded for room and became unbalanced.

Made the first turn wide before being steadied to obtain cover behind FUNG.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, there to turn, very wide into straight, made minor progress in the run home.

When questioned, H T Mo stated that his instructions were to endeavour to hold a forward position, preferably behind the leaders. He said when ridden along in the early stages FUNG was unable to cross the runners to his inside and as a consequence raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Made contact shortly after start, unable to slot in, raced 4 wide better than midfield, no cover throughout, very wide into straight, peaked early in straight, one-paced thereafter.

Making the first turn became badly unbalanced when crowded by FUNG (H T Mo) which shifted in when racing to the inside of SWEET DIAMOND which resulted in YEAH BUDDY then making contact with VALHALLA and YEAH BUDDY being turned in towards that runner. H T Mo was reprimanded and advised in similar circumstanced he would be expected to leave comfortable racing room for runners to his inside.
