Jumped only fairly. Near the 200 Metres was inconvenienced when taken out slightly by STAR BROSE which shifted out after being taken out slightly by STORM RUNNER. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from a wide draw, raced 2 wide in midfield, moved closer after passing 750M, 3 wide turning in, showed good response in straight, took the lead 150M, peaked and headed 50M, ran on evenly.

Near the 600 Metres was bumped and taken wider by SUPER SICARIO. STORM RUNNER then raced wide and without cover thereafter. Again near the 450 Metres made contact with SUPER SICARIO when that runner continued to maintain its position to the outside of WAH MAY WAI WAI. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 lengths back on turn, finished off well to make frame.

Jumped awkwardly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 250 Metres shifted to the inside of STAR BROSE when disappointed for clear running between PERFECT PAIRING and STAR BROSE.

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide towards rear, commenced move approaching 800M, very wide on turn, made some headway in straight.

Near the 350 Metres was steadied when racing tight to the inside of LEATHER MASTER. Approaching the 300 Metres was again steadied to avoid LEATHER MASTER when that runner shifted in.

Made contact at start, took the lead, led by 3/4L, challenged by rival on turn, peaked and headed approaching 150M, weakened and eased thereafter.

Near the 600 Metres was shifted to the outside of WAH MAY WAI WAI to commence a forward move and as a result made contact with STORM RUNNER. Bumped near the 450 Metres. D Probert reported that throughout the early and middle stages of the event his mount raced too keenly and refused to settle. He said as a consequence SUPER SICARIO failed to run out the 2200 Metres of tonight’s event. Trainer C Fownes concurred with the views of Jockey Probert and indicated that he would look to drop the horse back in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.

Approaching the 1600 Metres was hampered when taken out by COSMO LIGHT. Trainer C W Chang confirmed that he had instructed Jockey R Kingscote to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at tail, made progress on outer after entering the back straight, peaked on turn, weakened final 400M. (See Racing Incidents.)

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 1600 Metres, when racing keenly, shifted out when being steadied away from SUPER HONG KONG. Raced wide and without cover from the 900 Metres after commencing a forward move from that point. Trainer Y S Tsui confirmed that he had instructed Jockey J Orman to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages from the outside barrier as the horse had been racing in a disappointing manner when being ridden in a forward position. He added that he had given Jockey Orman the option of making a mid-race move if circumstances permitted. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
