MAURICE was trained by Noriyuki Hori with a record of 11 wins, 2 seconds and 1 third in 18 starts, winning distance from 1400M to 2000M. In 2015, the Kazumi Yoshida’s representative seized Yasuda Kinen in June with Yuga Kawada on board, then notched Mile Championship in November and The LONGINES Hong Kong Mile in December under Ryan Moore which named himself as 2015 JRA Award for Horse of the Year and Best Sprinter or Miler with authority. After the winter break, the champion miler took part and won 2016 The Champions Mile with the Magic man atop in HK but just missed when defending Yasuda Kinen, then he steps up in trip to 2000M where lifted Tenno Sho (Autumn) and The LONGINES Hong Kong Cup. MAURICE commenced his stud duties in 2017 at Shadai Stallion Station and shuttles to Arrowfield Stud, Australia with 35 black type contests winner including Sprinters Stakes champion PIXIE KNIGHT; three-times G1 champion HITOTSU, who lifted both Victoria Derby and Australian Derby; Queen Elizabeth II Cup winner GERALDINA, Osaka Hai champion JACK D'OR and Doomben 10000 winner MAZU. His service fee in 2026 at Australia is AUD$ 44,000 and JPY¥ 6m at Japan. MIGHTY PROFIT was trained by Kris Lees in Australia and took part in three barrier trials. On his first trial over 800M (2nd Jun 2025), he sat handy early but weakening late to finish fifth on a heavy track. He tracked the leaders in fourth after the jump but failed to quicken in the straight for fifth in a 1000M section (16th Jun 2025) on soft going, then led all the way up rail to win an 800M trial (24th Sept 2025) on good going. Same sire runner in HK perform best over a mile or further. His dam COMPLETE FINISH is an unraced with a foal to race with two win over 1000M and 1050M while most dam family members prefer mile or under in distance. Being a grandson of MAKFI, the bay gelding may require some time to mature that could handle up to 1800M and fine on dirt.
