PRIME SUCCESS was formerly known as LAAZM and trained by Andrew Balding in Great Britain with 2 wins and 1 second in 3 starts, with all runs partnered by Patrick McDonald and shadow roll as usual gear. He won on his debut in a 1515M race where shared lead early and pulling clear in the closing stages to storm straight to the wire at Chester. In his next start over the same course and distance, he sat handy early and quickened outside rounding the turn, but was left trailing five lengths behind the winner LION OF ALBA, having to settle for second. On his final overseas attempt over 1575M, he eased to settle in second last position in the early stages and producing a strong rally down the center of the track in the straight to win by a narrow margin at York. His dam ANYTHING GOES recorded her sole career victory at 2400M in France and her foals have won from 1200M to 2000M. The bay gelding should be able to stretch out to 1800M. Having proven capable of handling Chester Racecourse, managing the Happy Valley should certainly fine.
