LONHRO, Horse of the Year in Australia in 2003-2004, is the greatest son of another Australian Horse of the Year OCTAGONAL. He was trained by John Hawkes and collected 26 wins, 3 seconds and 2 thirds including 11 G1 titles for Woodlands Stud with Darren Gauci and Darren Beadman in the saddle. LONHRO commenced stud duties in 2004 at Darley with 100 black type contests winner, rising stallion PIERRO, DENMAN, New Zealand star sprinter BOUNDING and former HK runner JOLLY BANNER as his representatives. LONHRO has been passed away in April, 2024 at age 25. UNSTOPPAPLE was purchased by trainer Chris So at NZD$ 200,000 in 2024 NZB Ready To Run Sale where he finished 200M breeze up run in 10.46s. He was trained by Ben & Ryan Foote in New Zealand and took part in 2 barrier trials where he jumped well to lead all the way to win an 800M section (22nd Jul 2025) under urge on heavy ground, then sat handy early to just won in a 900M trial (5th Aug 2025) on heavy ground. His sire is the former Australian Horse of the Year LONHRO. From the second dam onwards, the maternal line consists entirely of French bloodlines, carrying middle-to-long distance stamina. His full-sister AMBERINA were 7-time place-getters from 1000M to 1300M but went winless in 38 starts in Australia. The brown gelding should be most suited at 1400M or farther and no issue on soft going.
