WRITTEN TYCOON was trained by Gragame Begg and John O'Shea with a record of 2 wins and 3 seconds in 11 starts with both winners at 2yo including G2 Todman Slipper Trial Stakes with Nash Rawiller on board, but then he only ran on 11th place at the G1 Golden Slipper in the same year. The racing forms of WRITTEN TYCOON were just ordinary but he made a fruitful result as a stallion starting from 2007 with 81 black type contests winners including Golden Slipper champion CAPITALIST, Blue Diamond Stakes winner WRITTEN BY, G1 winner OLE KIRK, COOLANGATTA, 2019 Hong Kong Classic Cup winner MISSION TYCOON and so on. WRITTEN TYCOON turned as private stallion of Yulong Stud in 2023. GOLDEN TRIUMPH was trained by Alex Oliveira in New Zealand and took part in 2 barrier trials where he led early in a 900M trial (26th Nov 2024) but headed late by AUDACIOUS PURSUIT on good going, then sat handy early and hit the front at one stage in a 1100M section (17th Dec 2024) but headed by OCEANA DREAM for 2nd on soft going while OCEANA DREAM collected 2 wins and a third in 4 starts including 2nd runner up in G2 Avondale Guineas afterwards. His dam LURES is half-sister of former HK runner ULTIMATE GLORY that as a broodmare in Japan after retired from Australian racing and one of her foals won on dirt in NAR races, then the mare returned to Australia continue as a broodmare. The chestnut gelding should be a sprinter and fine on dirt.
