INVINCIBLE SPIRIT was trained by John Leeper Dunlop with a record of 7 wins, 1 second and 1 third in 17 starts that all over 1200M including G1 Sprint Cup at Haydock when he was 5. INVINCIBLE SPIRIT got a fruitful stud record with 153 black type contests winner including CHARM SPIRIT, KINGMAN, MAYSON, PROFITABLE, MAGNA GRECIA and LAWMAN who are all now as stallions; two mares FLEETING SPIRIT and MOONLIGHT CLOUD performed well in G1 contests as well. Invincible Spirit has been retired from covering duties, the Irish National Stud announced in Oct 2024. SMILING SKY was originally offered at the 2025 Hong Kong International Sale (March) and was subsequently sold in November via tender at HKD$ 1,380,000. His sire INVINCIBLE SPIRIT is an outstanding stallion who has produced numerous champion sprinters and middle-distance horses. His dam JAKONDA was a winner over 2100M and has produced six winning offspring, all of whom scored victories over 1400M or further with the longest distance reaching 2400M including FULL POWER won twice in Hong Kong over 1600M and 2000M, also CHEMICLA CHARGE winner of the September Stakes, who visited Hong Kong twice to contest the Hong Kong Vase and the Champions & Chater Cup, finishing fourth and fifth respectively. SMILING SKY was found lame left hind in last November. The bay gelding should be a stayer that most suited over 1600M or farther.
