Tuchel Removes the Handbrake —— England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 vs Croatia 🇭🇷

![image](https://wykjlhbsxparltxazxmk.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/community-images/uploads/tg-1781786160552-file_597.jpg) Tuchel Removes the Handbrake —— England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 vs Croatia 🇭🇷 💡⭕️⚽️ LET Me EXPLAIN —— I’ve watched England for decades. Over and over again the team goes to tournaments, the hype is unbearable and then something happens in the first match. Just an air of underwhelming. But today was different. The game started a bit shaky but then England found their rhythm. The movement from the back through Elliot Anderson and Rice in midfield was balanced. There was a lot to write home about. And of course the superstars showed up. Kane doing what Kane does. Jude reminding everyone why he is a big game player. And Marcus Rashford showing us the composure fitting for someone who has spent time at Barcelona on the finish. Croatia are never a pushover. But England, in the end, were just that good. Credit to Tuchel. So many of his moves looked inspired today. Dropping Maguire and Trent so that the cameras remained on the game and not on the bench looks a stellar decision. Starting Madueke to give Saka more recovery time looks a stellar decision. Going with Jude over Morgan Rogers, even if it was partly to avoid the inevitable noise and debate around the selection, looks a stellar decision. Pulling Rice and introducing Morgan Rogers added fresh energy and extra firepower. More importantly, it sent a positive message to the players. England were not protecting a lead. They were still looking to play forward and attack. And also avoiding the Jude/Rogers like for like dynamic. That looks a stellar decision. Rashford and Gordon is, of course, a toss-up. But the biggest of them all to me was about player temperament. This is what separates a good manager from a next level one. If Gareth Southgate was coaching that team, many of us would probably have expected Marc Guehi to start. Tuchel started with Stones and Konsa. That proved to be next level. I don’t know how to tell you this, but football is about partnerships, not just good players playing together. Konsa and Stones were even more composed than you expect from English defenders. Just calmer on the ball and consistently making good decisions, especially in the second half. That, to me, is where Thomas Tuchel earned his pounds. A very interesting decision and one that seemed to work like a charm. Not a dramatic tactical innovation. Just a subtle selection call that gave England more balance, more composure and, ultimately, more control. If you think about it, Guehi is actually the best defender all round of the three. But Tuchel dropped him and the two that were great together. Absolutely fascinating. I have watched football for over 3 decades. I don’t know how he made that call but I like it. Well done, Tuchel. Well done, England. Speak to y’all soon. --- *Football news by OddsFlow — AI predictions, verified and timestamped*

We were nervous, too safe, not brave enough on the ball and struggling to find rhythm.” “Second half was excellent —I saw a stat- 73% ground duels won compared to 33% in the first. We deserved to win.” “I told them at half-time: even if we lose, it won’t change my view of the last 17 days… but let’s do it our way.” “The reaction was outstanding. Effort, intensity, togetherness — exactly what we wanted.” •That 73% ground duels stat is actually massive, shows the half time talk did its job completely 🔥 --- *Football news by OddsFlow — AI predictions, verified and timestamped*

Lens Second Again: What Does Another Runner-Up Finish Mean for Will Still?

Lens finished second in Ligue 1 for the second successive season. The Sang et Or faithful should be celebrating — but there's an underlying question that cannot be avoided: is second place progress, or is it starting to feel like a ceiling? Will Still deserves enormous credit. He inherited a squad that had peaked under Franck Haise and made them competitive again. The Bollaert atmosphere on match nights remains one of the most electric in French football. But the gap to PSG at the top — fourteen points by the final whistle — tells its own story. If Lens want to be genuine title contenders, they need a summer of serious investment. Sell one player well, reinvest in depth, and give Still the tools to compete across a full season. The potential is undeniable. Bollaert deserves a champion.

Marseille End of Season Review: The Good, Bad and the Road Ahead

Roberto De Zerbi's first full season at Marseille draws to a close — and the verdict is genuinely mixed. On the positive side: some of the most entertaining football the Velodrome has seen in years, Florian Thauvin collecting the season's best individual performer award, and a top-three finish that felt improbable six months ago. On the negative: the collapse after the Lorient defeat, the high-profile dressing room tension reported mid-season, and goals conceded from set pieces at a rate that undermined the beautiful football going forward. De Zerbi himself summed it up best: 'This was a season of learning. Marseille is a club that demands perfection. We gave them entertainment. Next season, we give them trophies.' The Velodrome will accept that promise — for one more year.

Pierre Sage: Ligue 1s Manager of the Season

If the Ligue 1 awards are honest, there is only one candidate for Manager of the Season: Pierre Sage of Olympique Lyonnais. A year ago, Lyon were in administration chaos, narrowly avoiding relegation. This season? European football secured, Rayan Cherki turned into one of the best young players in Europe, and a squad that plays cohesive, exciting football under a manager who cost nothing in compensation. Sage's tactical flexibility was the key. He adapted his 4-3-3 to opponent strengths, rotated cleverly, and kept morale high during a brutal February run of fixtures. The Groupama has found its identity again. For the awards ceremony, the Ligue 1 voters have a clear choice. Sage for Manager. Cherki for Young Player. And — who knows — maybe a proper title challenge next season if OL can keep their core together.

Champions of Europe and France: The Unstoppable 2025-26 PSG

Paris Saint-Germain did it. Ligue 1 champions for the eleventh time in thirteen years — and this season, they went further. Luis Enrique's side reached the Champions League final, the culmination of everything Qatar Sports Investments set out to achieve. The Vitinha-Zaire-Emery engine room proved to be the best midfield pairing in France. Kvaratskhelia was the signing of the season in European football. And Luis Enrique, widely doubted after Mbappe's departure, proved every sceptic wrong. What makes this title special is the manner of it — built on youth, collective pressing, and tactical identity. Not galacticos, not superstars. A team. The PSG model under Enrique is finally something to admire. The 2025-26 season will be remembered as the year Paris became genuinely great again.

Germany's World Cup XI Takes Shape — And Bundesliga Stars Are Central to It

Germany head into the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Manuel Neuer confirmed to start in goal against Curaçao in the opener — after Oliver Baumann was tipped to start just days ago. Classic Nagelsmann mind games? Or a genuine late switch? Either way, the Bayern keeper's experience wins out. The Bundesliga fingerprints are all over this German squad: 🔴 Bayern: Neuer, Kimmich, Musiala, Olise (naturalised), Sané, Goretzka 🟡 Dortmund: emerging talent pathway remains strong 🔵 Leipzig: Assan Ouédraogo drafted in as emergency cover after Lennart Karl's injury — the 19-year-old gets his World Cup shot earlier than expected Nagelsmann's 4-2-3-1 system suits the Bundesliga profile perfectly. The press, the high defensive line, the compact midfield block — it's basically the best of German domestic football on the international stage. If Olise fires in attack and Musiala controls the tempo, Germany have genuine final potential. The last time they won in 2014, it was a Bundesliga-heavy squad that did it. History might repeat. Hoffenheim connection: former TSG players Andrich and Kramaric are in the squad too, representing the league's talent pipeline. 🇩🇪⚽ #Germany #WorldCup2026 #Bundesliga #Neuer #Musiala #Olise

DFB Cup 2026/27 First Round Draw: What It Means for Stuttgart

The DFB Cup 2026/27 first round draw has been made, and German football's domestic cup competition is already generating talking points for the summer. VfB Stuttgart, coming off a solid Bundesliga campaign finishing 4th and qualifying for European football again, will be looking at the cup as another avenue for silverware after their runner-up finish in 2024/25. Stuttgart's MHPArena form has been one of their strengths — 12 home wins this season with a +22 goal difference at the Cannstatter Wasen. In cup football, that home fortress becomes even more valuable in early rounds. With Enzo Millot continuing to pull strings in midfield and Deniz Undav firing on all cylinders, Stuttgart enter the new cup competition in excellent shape. The question is whether they can finally go deep enough to challenge for the title — something that has eluded them despite consistent top-half finishes. Keep an eye on the draw: the path to the final will tell us a lot about whether Stuttgart can genuinely compete with Bayern for domestic honours in 2026/27. ⚪🔴 #Stuttgart #DFBCup #Bundesliga #VfBStuttgart

Guirassy Admits It Wasn't Enough — And He's Right

Serhou Guirassy came to Borussia Dortmund with massive expectations after 28 goals for Stuttgart in 2023/24. This season? He managed 18 Bundesliga goals — not bad by any objective measure, but in a season where Harry Kane scored 36, it felt like a step short. Guirassy himself said it plainly: 'I didn't score enough goals.' That kind of honest self-assessment is rare, and it's the mentality that will drive him forward. The reality is that Dortmund's system wasn't optimised for a pure striker this season. With injuries disrupting his rhythm and the team's inconsistency in creating clear-cut chances, Guirassy often had to work in deeper positions without the service he thrives on. But with the World Cup now underway and Guinea representing him at the tournament, Guirassy has a chance to reset mentally and physically. If Dortmund can build around him properly next season — adding wide creators and a competent no.8 — expect that 18 to look more like 28. The striker is there. The infrastructure just needs to catch up. 🟡⚫ #BVB #Dortmund #Guirassy #Bundesliga #WorldCup2026

Olise Is On Course to Win the Ballon d'Or — And Bayern Should Be Worried About That

Michael Olise is heading into the 2026 FIFA World Cup as one of the most in-form attackers on the planet. The Bayern Munich winger — who tore up the Bundesliga with 24 goals and 14 assists this season — is now being seriously discussed as a Ballon d'Or contender if he fires France deep into the tournament. His numbers this season were remarkable: a league-leading progressive carry rate, 12 big chances created, and a Champions League knockout run where he scored in both legs against Arsenal. That's not just form — that's elite. The question for Bayern fans isn't whether Olise deserves the individual recognition. He clearly does. The question is: what does it mean for his price tag? Bayern president Herbert Hainer has categorically ruled out a summer exit. But with Real Madrid and Premier League clubs reportedly circling, keeping Olise beyond this World Cup might be the biggest test of Bayern's pulling power since Lewandowski. One thing is certain: if Olise wins in Canada/Mexico/USA and walks away with player of the tournament honours, that conversation becomes unavoidable. Enjoy him while you can, Bayern fans. 🔴⚪ #Bayern #Olise #WorldCup2026 #BallonDOr #Bundesliga

![image](https://wykjlhbsxparltxazxmk.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/community-images/uploads/tg-1780932096874-file_590.jpg) The difference between Truffert and Hall, and why Hall is the better fit for Manchester United. Truffert is a very good player in the right environment. He thrives in high-intensity systems that demand constant running, overlapping, and attacking space. His game is built around energy, movement, and volume. However, in a slower, more controlled system where he's expected to consistently create chances through individual quality, whether by beating his man 1v1 or delivering precise final balls, his impact becomes less pronounced. That's what makes Hall such a special profile. He isn't system-dependent. Whether the game is fast or slow, transitional or possession-based, Hall has the technical quality and football intelligence to influence matches. He can carry the ball, create from deep, combine in tight spaces, and provide quality in the final third. Players like that are rare. Hall isn't just a good left-back, he's the type of player who can thrive in almost any tactical setup, which is exactly why Manchester United should be pushing hard to sign him. --- *Football news by OddsFlow — AI predictions, verified and timestamped*

Let me explain how some top-level club negotiations work. Real Madrid

![image](https://wykjlhbsxparltxazxmk.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/community-images/uploads/tg-1780672284271-file_589.jpg) Let me explain how some top-level club negotiations work. Real Madrid don’t always enter a transfer race because they truly want the player. Sometimes it’s strategy. In this case: PSG want Matheus Fernandes. Madrid want João Neves. So what happens? Madrid sends in a ridiculous offer for Joao Neves maybe €150m Then Madrid start showing “interest” again in Fernandes. Rumours begin. Maybe even a bid goes in. Now PSG panic a little. Why? Because they see Fernandes as the perfect replacement for Neves. If Madrid suddenly sign Fernandes, PSG lose both options. That pressure forces PSG to seriously consider Madrid’s huge offer for Neves. They think: “Sell Neves now, use the money to secure Fernandes before Madrid do.” So PSG feel like they won because they replaced Neves. Madrid win because they got their real target all along. In the end, PSG become the bridge that helps Madrid complete both moves. That’s the Trojan horse effect in football negotiations. #football #TransferNews #MUFC --- *Football news by OddsFlow — AI predictions, verified and timestamped*

They'll pay €20 million with a different structure. 2. They won't pay €20 million, they'll do €30 million but they want a season long loan, and that €30 million be a conditional obligation, likely triggered by performance-related criteria. Man United are saying no, it's €30 million now otherwise Rashford won't join. [@JacobsBen, @UnitedStandMUFC] #mufc •They're clearly not ready to do business, and United aren't under any pressure to sell. It's Rashford who wants the move, not United who are desperate to push him out. If Barcelona can't meet the asking price, then he should return to United once the World Cup is over. Hopefully he has a strong tournament and raises his stock even further. That could attract other clubs willing to pay what he's actually worth, which would either force Barcelona to match the valuation or leave Rashford with other serious options on the table. At the end of the day, if a club truly wants a player, they have to be prepared to pay a fair fee. --- *Football news by OddsFlow — AI predictions, verified and timestamped*
